AirFrance offered a free French chocolate lava cake to anyone traveling out of DTW (Detroit) on Feb 13th, made by Detroit’s Chez Chloé – owned by chef Chloe Sabatier. The cakes are a sample of desserts that will regularly be served aboard Air France flights starting in March. Passengers could take the cake onboard the flight to enjoy OR, Air France uniformed staff would deliver the cake, along with a Valentine’s card, to a loved one in the Detroit area on Feb 14th. Find out more here.

United Airlines served free Valentine’s Day cocktails in United Club lounge locations in the US, and at LHR. Featured drinks included the “Casanova,” the “Bubbling with Love” and the “Cupid’s Arrow”, with sides of chocolate.

JetBlue also got in to the airport Valentine’s Day spirit be giving away Dylan’s Candy Bar cookies on-board flights on V-Day. There was also an offer available at participating Dylan’s retail stores, with proof of travel. Dylan’s is located at the Detroit Metro Airport and JFK Terminal 5.

Singapore Airlines gave suite customers leaving JFK a complimentary chocolate truffle box, created by Chef Alfred Portale (of Gotham Bar & Grill in NYC). Find out more about this promotion here.

Finally Southwest Airlines served passengers who were 21+ a free drink during each Valentine’s Day flight. United employees also handed out Valentines gifts including a sweepstakes entry for a trip to the American Country Music awards – these entries and other freebies were available in select United markets. Southwest hands out free drinks a few times each year – January 1 (New Year’s Day), February 14 (Valentine’s Day) and March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day). PIT Airport - Southwest Airlines
