tripchi airport app – fly on you crazy diamond in to August

Late July 2015 tripchi airport app newsletter

The latest adventures of our team saw founder CJ traveling into the Rocky Mountains for a hiking and eating adventure which she documented on her therestlessroad blog here. While the tripchi airport app team sadly didn’t see any airport travel this month, we have some great trips coming up next month and plan to scout out several new airports for you as you take tripchi along with you as your airport guide. While you’re killing time at the airport, we’re hard at work building new experiences and scouring undocumented #layovertips for your eyes only.

Airport of the month club. Even though we’ve had IAD in tripchi for a while now, it’s still one of our favorites. We transit through Dulles frequently (Chandra lived there for a while), and always love dining and shopping in Concourse B (check out the Starbucks Evenings concept!). If you’re looking for a #layovertip or dining or shopping options, of course you can bring up the tripchi airport app and find a listing of what’s around you based on your flight time and the Concourse you’re leaving from. If you’re passing through the IAD airport, we’d love to get your feedback! Find these tips and more on the tripchi airport app.

New to the tripchi airport app community? tripchi is your passport to explore the airport. We roll up dining and shopping options, charging stations, as well as airport art, airport secrets and #layovertips. And, you can browse lounges, find special deals and offers, and track your flight information. The tripchi airport app now available on the Android through this direct download (click here), and will be on the Google Play store soon. For all you iPhone users out there, our plan is to roll the tripchi airport app out on the iTunes store next. Our new website is up and all the forms are working. Tell your friends!

How can you help the tripchi airport app team?

  1. In the aviation industry? Pass your airport connections our way? We are looking at running a limited trial to prove that we can help not only airport guests, but also airports.
  2. Flying soon? We need your help to source more and better airport content. If you’d like to write for us or contribute your airport findings, shoot us an email: contact@tripchi.com.

Most delayed airports for summer travel
Most delayed airports for summer travel. Everybody loves to travel in the summertime in the Northern hemisphere and it’s no secret that ticket prices are high this time of year. The simple rule of supply and demand will tell you to buy early because summertime demand for air travel is extremely high, especially in the US. The following rankings of most delayed airports reflect the on-time percentages of the flights at each airport, and come from Milescard.com. Read more on Seth’s blog here.

5 best airline safety videos
5 best airline safety videos. We can all agree that the trend in aviation seems to be going in the direction of these types of airline safety videos – otherwise, how does an airline get a jaded passenger, who has perhaps flown hundreds of times, to pay attention? Taking a lesson from seasoned marketers, there are 3 main themes that we see used to jolt the jaded jetsetter out of his pre-flight stupor and get him to actually watch the airline safety video: humor, sex, and celebrity mascots. Read more here.
Denver Airport Conspiracy Theory
Low-Cost Carrier Airline Marketing. In this blog, Chandra focuses on some of the interesting low-cost carrier shock marketing techniques used by budget airlines, aka LCCs, to get the message across around their unbundled base fare offerings. Low-Cost Carriers are airlines that deconstruct their fare bundles to the most basic atomic unit – the bare fare. Anything additional costs extra – such as seats or bags. LCCs are carriers such as Spirit or Frontier in the US, or Ryanair or easyJet in Europe. Chandra (CJ) writes more about it here.
