 Movember 2015 November travel with the tripchi airport app
 Happy Thanksgiving November travel hangover. I’m actually writing this from Los Angeles, so I had the privilege of visiting my most favorite (DEN) and my least favorite (LAX) airport in the past week. Despite the “LAX Makeover Coming Soon” signs that have been hanging around LAX for at least a year, no makeover was readily apparent. Terminal 3 is probably the worst terminal in the entire airport, and that’s been the one I’ve been flying in and out of as I’ve been trying these Low-Cost Carriers (Spirit and Frontier). We are patiently awaiting said LAX makeover so we can finally say something good about LAX (see, that was nice?!?!).
On the tripchi airport app side, we added both MIA and BOS through scraping and an API, respectively, to improve your November travel experience. What that means in English is that they are now available to use on the app! This was our first test to see if the tripchi technology can scale. We are not quite there yet, but we’re refining our data model with every new airport added. While you’re killing time at the airport, the tripchi team is hard at work building new experiences and scouring undocumented #layovertips for your eyes only.
  Airport of the month club for November travel. Boston Logan is one of our favorite airports to get stuck in. Since we started the tripchi company in Boston several years ago, we frequently visited BOS many a day. And now that Terminal B (care of American Airlines) has been redone, it’s looking more like an Airport 2.0 every day. Thanks to tripchi, here’s a few suggestions of the things we like to do at Boston Logan International Airport. Here are our top 3 #layovertips for DXB:
- Nosh at Lucky’s Lounge. This is one of the first places native Bostonians think of, but few tourists get a chance to try—it’s definitely worth a stop next time you are in the area. The bartender is friendly and knows the menu well, and the scene is cool and casual. One day, you might be able to use the tripchi airport app find other travelers in your network who happen to be in the airport, and invite them to Lucky’s for a drink and a chat.
- Drink at Beer Works. Another local Boston company, Beer Works in Terminal C. This is the same place that is right across the street from Fenway and the selection is just as good. Boston is a great sports city, and catching a game at the Beer Works bar is always fun. The bartenders are attentive and can help out with a suggestion if you want one.
- Shop at The Black Dog. If you want something quintessentially New England to bring home with you – check out The Black Dog. It’s a maritime clothing company and has a large selection for everyone. At least stop in to take a peak at the iconic The Black Dog logo.
