The Periodic Table of… Airlines?

Are you an aviation nerd? Or maybe just a nerd who lives to travel?

Then you’re going to love this new mashup – the beloved Periodic Tables of Elements and airline reviews.

eDreams has done the hard part of racking and stacking the world’s airlines and displaying them into cute infographic – embedded in the Period Table of Elements.

eDreams Periodic Table of Airlines

As usual, non-US airlines do well. The top 5 are:

  1. Singapore Airlines
  2. Korean Air
  3. China Airlines
  4. Bangkok Airways
  5. Binter Canarias (never heard of this one? us neither)

Also, as usual, the large U.S. airlines mostly place in the last 20 spaces.

United Airlines takes position 85.

American Airlines takes 92.

Delta takes 93.

With the exception of JetBlue, coming in at a solid 15, U.S. airlines continue to disappoint (only two even make the top 50).

Wondering about the factors making up the rankings?

  • Overall experience
  • Value for money
  • Check-in/boarding experience
  • VIP lounge
  • Overall rating of aircraft
  • Cleanliness and condition of aircraft
  • Comfort/space between seats
  • Service In-flight entertainment

Having just flown Ethiopian Air for my last 5 flights, I am actually quite surprised it didn’t even make the table. I thought EA was pretty good!
