tripchi Airport App, What’s the Haps, and Recaps– October 2014, Autumn Edition
Halloween is right around the corner and all of us at the tripchi airport app are all starting to think about our holiday travel plans (at least for those of us in North America). If you’re following us on Twitter, then you already saw our tips on when to book for Thanksgiving from Hopper (at least 10 days in advance).
Thanks to those of you who started giving us feedback on the tripchi mobile website version. We especially need help testing out the “Add your Flight” feature so please to shoot me a note if you want to be a guinea pig (pictured left). As always we need your help spreading the word to your friends so that we have lots of jet-setter Beta testers come mobile app launch day.
Aviation and Airport News Coverage: We have tons of great content on tips & tricks to make the most of your airport and airline time – with highlights from our twice a week blog below.
Finally, come and play with the tripchi airport app! Not only will we be releasing our app on Google Play App Store for Android, but we also have fun with the #namethatairportand #layovertip hashtags on Twitter whenever we’re at an airport. Just recently, #namethatairport was used by USA Today and reached millions of Twitter fans. BEST NEWS EVER!

Austin Airport is Awesome. The tripchi airport app is proud to announce that Austin Airport (AUS) will be included in our Beta launch, accompanying other fine airports like Washington-Dulles, Dubai, and Charlotte. Austin Bergstrom is a small airport in comparison with the others in this group, but that doesn’t make it worse – in fact, being smaller gives an airport the challenge to work harder to find better content and offer superior customer service. In fact, this is one of the only airports that regularly serves up LIVE MUSIC free of charge to its ticketed guests (post-security). Flying through AUS soon? Download tripchi and read more here.
The New Washington Dulles Airport. With the passing of time and Airports 2.0 sweeping aviation, a terrible airport can become great again. One of our least favorites airports 10 years ago has now made it to the top of our favorites list, not least because of the great dining and shopping options, and the subway! The Spooky Ghost Airport of Spain. One hundred and forty miles south of Madrid on a wind-swept desert plain just outside the city of Ciudad Real lies a ghost airport. The terminal buildings are empty as sand slithers through the hallways reminiscent of a abandoned old west mining town. So just how did this modern-day airport become a wasteland? Read more here!
